Why is it that the sky is crying today –
Is God sad with what He sees?
And why is it that the storms rage –
Have we forgotten the power in His name?
When walls crumble and nations fall
When we hear His final battle call
Will we tremble in fear –
Or know that He is near?
If we are put under lock and chain
Will we use this for His gain?
And what if we die for what we believe –
Will that finally make others see?
While the world around us rages war
What is going to be the final score?
When we are at the brink of our demise
Will others still see the light in our eyes?
When every soul will see
That they were the culprits of their own depravity.
And what about the end of time?
When every ear will hear
Either:
“Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Or, for those who have fallen behind:
“Depart from me, for I never knew you.”
Despite their demise,
There will be no compromise.
So –
Continue on,
Continue strong…
Until we’re at the place where we belong.
When everyone knows the One enthroned –
With no second chance to make it home.
